Past Events OktobeRun 5k and Half Marathon & PENINSULA OKTOBERFEST The first half marathon on the Peninsula in years attracted more than 900 runners for a hugely successful race on October 15, 2011 and helped to raise $25,000 for our students. With 12 breweries and 18 food vendors represented, there were lots of opportunities for guests to enjoy the harvests of the season. Thanks to organizer Krisell Laran and her crack team at Bullfrog Media, plus an army of volunteers, the event raised around $10,000 to support our students. More >>

september 14, 2011 5% DAY BENEFITS OUR MUSIC STUDENTS! Sales from September's 5% Day at Redwood City Whole Foods Market generated almost $5,000 to keep instrumental music education for our middle school students. In addition, shoppers gave an additional $2,062 to help us meet a $10k challenge grant. A big thank you to those who shopped and helped staff the table, and to Jane Woodman and the Sequoia High School band — the kids were great ambassadors for the music programs in both districts! Thanks also to Georgia Solkov Jack who found our $10k match donor and drove the Save Our School Musiccampaign to success!
36th Annual 4th of July Parade Run Monday, July 4, 2011 This fun 3.5 mile run and walk kicked off Redwood Ciy's 4th of July festivities this year with 747 runners.
