Storytime starts at 11:30 am with the AMAZING author/illustrator Jim LaMarche reading his books and signing them after his presentation.
Our own Sharon Levin, who has been reviewing children's literature for over ten years, will be your personal book shopper, helping you choose the perfect books for the young people on your gift list.
Redwood City school librarians will also be on hand as well to recommend their favorite books of the season. Let us help you pick out the perfect book for family and friends.
Mention the RCEF at the register and Kepler’s will donate 15% of your purchase!
Gift wrapping will be done by Redwood City students, and the tips (wrap is free) also benefit the RCEF.
For more information, see Kepler's website or email Sharon Levin.

RCEF News
A significant investment of $20,000 by Abbott Laboratories in support of science education in the Redwood City School District (RCSD) was recently received by the Redwood City Education Foundation (RCEF).
This impressive gift, along with other contributions from parents, community members, businesses, and foundations, helped the RCEF raise close to $300,000 last year, a new record for the Foundation.
The Abbott Laboratories grant makes up half of the $40,000 funded provided by the RCEF for transportation costs and coordinator and teacher salaries for the Outdoor Education program.

RCEF ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD
The Redwood City Education Foundation (RCEF) has elected a new Board of Directors for 2007-2008 and announced that it is stepping up its fundraising efforts to bridge the gap between the basic education provided by the school district and a well-rounded education that provides music, art, science, and wellness education to all students.
The new board has outlined three main objectives for this year:
- Raise $350,000 for student programs, up from the nearly $300,000 raised in 2006-2007.
- Expand the RCEF volunteer base.
- Educate the community about school finance issues.
Over the past two years, the RCEF has raised over $550,000 to support music, wellness education, and academic support programs, such as Outdoor Education, for the 8,000 children attending Redwood City’s 16 public elementary and middle schools.
