Volunteering

The RCEF is an all volunteer organization. We need parents and community members to plan events, raise funds, and help with operations. Every hour you contribute directly helps to enrich our students' education.

Join us in planning and delivering funding for programs that benefit every student in the Redwood City School District. Board members attend monthly meetings; chair Committees; participate in fundraising and outreach activities; and promote the RCEF in the community.

Join a committee

You can help out on an as-needed basis whenever your schedule allows, or you might consider becoming more involved with the RCEF by joining one of our committees:

Communications
Publishes marketing and PR material, including press releases, event collateral, and the RCEF website and eNews.

Fund Raising
We have fund raising committees for managing support from major corporations and foundations, local businesses, individuals, and special events.

Infrastructure
Manages database, files, wiki, and website.

Volunteers
Recruits, organizes, trains, and motivates all our great RCEF volunteers.

Benefit for a Brighter Future
Plans and produces our most important annual fundraiser Benefit for a Brighter Future.

Pat Crawford Volunteer Inspiration Award

Each year we recongnize an inspirational Redwood City School District volunteer with the Pat Crawford Volunteer Inspiration Award. The Award honors the memory of Pat Crawford and her service to our community. Award recipients have an outstanding record of volunteer service in our school district that exemplifies Pat's lifelong commitment to education and her unique ability to foster and inspire volunteering in those around her.
