RCEF hosts Senate Candidates Forum

RCEF will be hosting a nonpartisan candidates forum on the topic of education on Thursday, February 13, at 7:00PM at the Redwood City Public Library at 1044 Middlefield Rd, Redwood City, CA 94063.  The moderator will be San Mateo Daily Journal columnist Mark Simon.

Our district and many others in SD13 have been hit hard by financial challenges.  Given the State's enormous influence over education, a group of parents decided we need to engage and hear from the candidates in this race about their plans to put kids first in Sacramento.

The forum is nonpartisan, and RCEF will not be issuing an endorsement.  It is being hosted by RCEF in collaboration with a coalition of other community-based education organizations, like the Redwood City Parents for Better Education Funding and Coastsiders for Better Education Funding.  We will solicit this coalition for their input on the questions, and the moderator will draft the final answers based on common themes raised.
