We are excited to announce that beginning June 1, 2019, Jason Galisatus will be joining RCEF as our Executive Director.
Jason Galisatus is delighted to serve as Executive Director of the Redwood City Education Foundation (RCEF) and give back to an organization that was instrumental to his own personal growth and development. As a Redwood City native, a graduate of the Redwood City School District (RCSD) and a longtime RCEF board member, he knows firsthand both the challenges and tremendous opportunities facing Redwood City public schools. Jason has previously worked in higher education in Stanford University's Office of Government and Community Relations and as an Account Executive at the San Francisco-based Ground Floor Public Affairs.
A longtime community leader and volunteer, Jason serves as Chair of the Redwood City Complete Streets Advisory Committee, as a member of the SamTrans Citizens Advisory Committee, as an Advisory Board member of Climate Magazine, and as a board member of PenTV.
Jason has previously served as the Chair of the Redwood City Downtown Neighborhood Association, on the Redwood City Downtown Retail Task Force, as the Co-Chair of the San Mateo County LGBTQ Commission, and as the founder and Executive Director of the Bay Area Youth Summit, an organization focused on promoting safe and supportive school environments. In 2018 he ran a strong campaign for City Council in Redwood City. Galisatus graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.
