Employer Matching

Many employees match charitable contributions and can double or triple your personal donation, significantly increasing the impact of your gift to RCEF. See if your gift is eligible.

Some companies process donations and matching gifts directly through an employee giving portal. Others ask employees to submit proof of their donation after giving.

If you need RCEF’s information to request a match:

Organization: Redwood City Education Foundation

Tax ID: 94–2903141

Mailing Address:

Redwood City Education Foundation
PO Box 3046, Redwood City, CA 94064

Email: info@rcef.org

Donor-Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) offer a convenient way to support RCEF using charitable funds you have already set aside.

If your DAF provider participates in DAF Direct, you can recommend a grant to RCEF here.

If your provider is not available through DAF Direct, contact your sponsoring organization or financial adviser and recommend a grant to:

Redwood City Education Foundation
PO Box 3046, Redwood City, CA 94064
Tax ID: 94–2903141

Please make checks payable to Redwood City Education Foundation.

For questions or assistance with a DAF gift, contact info@rcef.org

Stock & Securities

RCEF accepts gifts of publicly traded securities. Donating appreciated assets can meaningfully support Redwood City students and may also offer tax benefits.

To make a stock gift:

1. Complete our stock gift form so we know your transfer is coming and can properly identify and acknowledge your donation.

2. Contact your broker and request a transfer to RCEF using the information below:

Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., IS Document Control, P.O. Box 982600, El Paso, TX 79998-2600
DTC #0164
Account # 2937-6960
Redwood City Education Foundation (PO Box 3046), Redwood City, CA 94064
Tax ID: 94–2903141

Because brokerage transfers do not always include donor information, completing the form helps us attribute your gift correctly.

IRA & Retirement Gifts

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to RCEF. In 2026, eligible donors may give up to $111,000 through a QCD. The gift is generally excluded from taxable income and may count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD), if you have one.

How to Make an IRA Gift:

  1. Contact your IRA administrator and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution payable directly to:

Redwood City Education Foundation

PO Box 3046, Redwood City, CA 94064

Tax ID: 94–2903141

2. Once you initiate your gift, please let us know your name, gift amount, and financial institution so we can identify and acknowledge your contribution when it arrives.

Because tax rules and individual circumstances vary, please consult your financial or tax advisor about whether a QCD is appropriate for you.

Bequests & Legacy Gifts

A gift to RCEF through your will, trust, or beneficiary designation can support future generations of Redwood City students. You can leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or a portion of what remains after providing for loved ones.

You can also name RCEF as a beneficiary of an IRA, retirement plan, life insurance policy, or other eligible account.

Your attorney may ask for:

Legal name: Redwood City Education Foundation

Tax ID: 94–2903141

Mailing Address:

Redwood City Education Foundation

PO Box 3046, Redwood City, CA 94064

Sample bequest language:

“I give [the sum of $___ / ___% of my estate / ___% of the residue of my estate] to Redwood City Education Foundation, Tax ID 94-2903141, to be used for its general charitable purposes.”

For informational purposes only. Please consult your attorney or estate-planning advisor when preparing or updating your will or trust.
