WHO WE ARE

Values

These values guide how we make decisions, invest resources, build partnerships, and define success.

Equity Is Action, Not Intention

We believe educational equity means giving students what they need to thrive, not giving everyone the same thing. We direct resources and opportunities where needs are greater, and access is more limited.

Every Child Deserves an Excellent School

We believe every school should be inclusive, well-resourced, and a place where students feel safe, challenged, and supported. A child’s neighborhood, language, family income, or circumstances should not determine the quality of their educational experience.

Public Education Is a Shared Responsibility

We believe strong public schools are a community asset. Families, educators, residents, businesses, philanthropy, and community partners all have a role in helping students succeed.

We Center Those Closest to the Work

We believe students, families, and educators should help shape priorities and solutions. Listening to those closest to the experience makes our work more responsive and accountable.

28.png
Opportunity Should Be Accessible

We believe access to enrichment, mental health support, academic interventions, and other opportunities should not depend on a family’s ability to find, navigate, or advocate for them.

Our Understanding of Education Equity:

Ensuring students have access to high-quality instruction, programs, and learning experiences—along with the adaptive academic, social, emotional, and cultural supports they need to achieve strong outcomes, regardless of background or circumstance.
